Title: HR Officer
Report to Senior HR Officer
Commitment: Full time
Job Summary: The HR Officer to supporting the HR department by managing day-to-day HR operations, implementing HR policies and programs, and ensuring effective communication between staff and management. The role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employee development, and compliance with labor laws.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, shortlist, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
• Maintain a talent pool and collaborate with department heads to understand workforce requirements.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, providing advice and resolving conflicts.
• Conduct employee engagement surveys and assist in implementing initiatives to improve morale and retention.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Support the performance appraisal process by liaising with managers and assisting in evaluations.
• Help implement corrective actions and ensure that performance improvement plans are followed through.
• Assist in designing and facilitating employee recognition programs.
• Coordinate and track employee training programs, identifying skill gaps.
• Assist in career development plans for employees, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Maintain training records and provide reports to management.
• Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Prepare HR reports and provide analysis on turnover, absenteeism, and other HR metrics.
• Ensure the organization adheres to all applicable labor laws and regulations.
• Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
• Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
• Handle employee separations, including exit interviews and managing resignation/termination paperwork.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the supervisory, such as policy development or diversity programs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in HR management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or related fields.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of HR policies and labor laws.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
