We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team in the pet treats manufacturing industry. As a QA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our pet treats, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
-Quality Control: Perform inspections and quality checks on incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished pet treats to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
-Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including test results, inspections, and compliance documentation.
-HACCP Compliance: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program to ensure food safety.
-Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations and standards related to pet treat manufacturing (e.g., FDA, AAFCO) and ensure our products meet or exceed these requirements.
-Supplier Relations: Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and establish quality requirements for raw materials.
-Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Training: Provide training to production personnel on quality control procedures and standards.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
-Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within the pet treats or food manufacturing industry.
-Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control principles.
-Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
