Key Responsibilities of Purchasing Manager 1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies, forecast demand, negotiate deals, and manage vendors. 2. Source vendors, review alternative materials, and find quotation 3. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking 4. Perform strategic procurement activities across various spend categories, aiming to find better deals and more profitable suppliers. 5. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing and close deals with optimal terms 6. Analyze costs, mitigate risks, and determine optimal delivery quantities and timings. 7. Prepare clearance with Custom Officer and local authority (for oversea purchase) 8. Coordinate with vendors to solve material quality issues and monitor vendors’ corrective action implementation. 9. Review procurement documents (Purchase Order, Goods Receipt, Expense Report, etc.). 10. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices 11. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power 12. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage 13. Other tasks assigned by superiors Requirement: • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Banking and Finance, Accounting • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting • Be able to use an Accounting system • Leadership capabilities, negotiation skills, and analytical abilities. • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management • Interest in market dynamics along with business acumen
