Main Responsibilities of a Store Manager Operations Management • Ensure smooth daily operations of both the bookstore and F&B services. • Monitor inventory levels, manage supplier relationships, and oversee purchasing for both departments. • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution between the bookstore and F&B teams. • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both areas to maintain quality service. • Analyzing current performance metrics and operational conditions. • Preparing and delivering sales reports to upper management or corporate headquarters • PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act): Implementing continuous improvement processes for business operations. • Negotiating and managing external business relationships with other parties. • Involving in interviews with Employees/Supervisor, MD Teams and meeting with key team member • Participation in Store Manager Meetings: Joining discussions with store managers to align on strategies and performance. • Preparation for Opening and Closing: Managing tasks related to the opening and closing procedures, possibly for retail stores or business facilities. • Tenant Management: Overseeing relationships and agreements with tenants (likely in a commercial property setting). Financial Management • Profit and Loss Statement Management: Ensuring accurate tracking of revenue, expenses, and overall profitability. • Track sales performance, revenue, and costs for both sectors. • Budget for supplies, stock, and staff, balancing the needs of the bookstore and F&B operations. • Analyze financial reports and key metrics to improve profitability. • Managing sales targets and forecasts to ensure financial goals are met Customer Service • Maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring quality experiences in both the bookstore and F&B services. • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues quickly. • Foster a welcoming environment and ensure that both teams deliver consistent, friendly service. Marketing & Promotion • Develop strategies to increase foot traffic and sales for both the bookstore and F&B. • Propose and create events (book signings, readings, special promotions) to the Marketing team that align with both the bookstore and café culture. • Implement loyalty programs or collaborations with local communities or authors to drive engagement. Team Leadership & Development • Lead and motivate the team across both areas, fostering a collaborative work environment. • Train employees on customer service, product knowledge, and efficient service for the bookstore and F&B sectors. • Conduct regular performance reviews and set development goals for staff. • Guiding, training, and managing the performance of team members. • Assessing employee performance for improvements or advancements. • Take charge on POS system, guiding and training, problem solving. • Other tasks as assigned by Management.
