Field Inspector (Facilities Management Project)

- As cleaning Field Inspector supervisor: 1. Lead the Cleaning team to ensure there is a positive, motivational, supportive working environment. 2. Ensure advanced planning of all cleaning operations including periodic tasks with clear schedules and sign off of all duties and tasks complete. 3. Supervisors oversee the day-to-day tasks of the cleaning staff. 4. Under the direction of the site manager, undertake the daily operational supervision of the team of cleaning operatives. 5. Maintain health and safety and risk assessment standards, reporting any failures to comply with the Operation Supervisor and Line manager. 6. Arrange work schedules, managing cover for absence of cleaning operatives. 7. Monitor cleaning duties, carrying out quality audits and monitoring performance. 8. Conduct performance appraisals of the team of cleaning operatives. 9. Take part in the recruitment and selection process for new cleaning operatives. 10. Induct and train new members of the cleaning team and provide toolbox talks to the existing team. 11. Monitor, manage and authorize annual leave of cleaning operatives to ensure the appropriate staffing levels are maintained. 12. Following periods of sickness absence, complete return to work meetings, and ensure the appropriate documentation has been received. 13. Manages replenishment of stock of cleaning products, in liaison with the site manager 14. Manages replacement of cleaning equipment, in liaison with the site manager 15. Oversees and ensures the safe use, care and storage of equipment and materials. 16. Identify staff training needs. 17. Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed. 18. Operate domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training. 19. Oversee and undertake the safe and secure storage of allocated equipment and materials. Job Requirement: a. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory cleaning role. b. Experience in a cleaning environment, Experience of managing a team, Experience of using cleaning machinery. c. Understanding of current cleaning industry best practices, cleaning methods, products, and equipment d. Ability to order and maintain cleaning products stocks e. Ability to use own initiative, respond quickly and effectively to issues that arise f. Effective communication with team and line managers and ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues g. Commitment to always maintaining appropriate confidentiality, h. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, i. Good interpersonal skills, positive and enthusiastic approach.
