POSITION SUMMARY:
• Ensure that all guests are served to the hotel’s standard in the Restaurant / bar and lounge areas.
• Display highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.
• Takes orders and serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per the hotel’s standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet and escort customers to their tables.
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, glasses, cleanliness and stability of the tables and chairs.
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
• Inform customers about the day’s specials.
• Offer menu recommendations upon request.
• Up-selling additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using POS ordering software, captain order or order slips.
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders.
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
• To ensure a proper using of equipment as per Restaurant standards, (e.g. Always use tray whenever clear the table or serving food or drink)
• Deliver checks and collect payments, always recommend guests to settle by QR quote rather than credit card. If cash payment, must be checked and count in front of guests to ensure the correct amount received or return change with receipts and PAID stamp.
• Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations.
• Follow all relevant health department regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
• Be punctual at work and always wear a proper uniform as per the standard of the hotel.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Be present at all training sessions and daily briefings.
• Follow the schedule and instruction of the direct manager.
• To carry out other duties as and when requested by management.
