Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Monitor and manage inventory costing, standard cost updates, and variance analysis specific to plastic production.
Prepare and review financial statements, month-end and year-end closing reports.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
Coordinate and support audits (internal and external).
Assist in the development of internal controls and accounting policies to ensure data integrity.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales departments to ensure accurate financial data flow.
Analyze production costs, scrap, overhead allocations, and recommend efficiency improvements.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
