Job Title: Junior IT Specialist Shift: Rotating Shift (Including weekends and holidays)
Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Junior IT Specialist to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in supporting and managing diverse IT environments, including Windows, Linux-based systems, mobile devices, cloud solutions, and endpoint security. This role offers a great opportunity to grow your technical skills and gain hands-on experience while providing top-tier support to our end users. Responsibilities: • Provide technical support for Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, including troubleshooting, software installations, updates, and configurations. • Support Ubuntu or other open-source operating systems, assisting users with system-related issues and ensuring optimal performance. • Manage and support Android and iOS mobile devices, ensuring they are secure, configured correctly, and compliant with company policies. • Implement and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems to maintain device security, configurations, and application deployments. • Assist in the administration of Office 365, including user account management, troubleshooting, and support for Office applications and cloud services. • Provide assistance with basic networking concepts, such as IP configurations, network troubleshooting, and connectivity issues. • Support endpoint security solutions (e.g., antivirus, endpoint protection), ensuring devices are secure and up to date. • Assist with basic cloud services and provide first-line support for cloud-related issues. • Adhere to security protocols, ensuring compliance with security best practices and assisting with security incident management when necessary. • Collaborate with the IT team to monitor and resolve service desk tickets, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely and customer-centric manner. • Participate in routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and software updates. • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and user guides for future reference. Requirements: • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, technical troubleshooting, or a similar role. • Technical Skills: o Proficiency in Windows 10 and 11 administration and troubleshooting. o Hands-on experience with Ubuntu or other open-source operating systems. o Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms, device management, and app installations. o Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, AirWatch, etc.). o Basic understanding of Office 365 and its management. o Knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routing). o Familiarity with endpoint security solutions (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, endpoint protection platforms). o Basic understanding of cloud computing and related services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS). o General awareness of security principles and best practices in IT. • Skills: o Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues. o Strong communication and customer service skills with a customer-centric mindset. o Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a rotating shift environment. • Bonus Skills: o Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools. o Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, or similar. Certifications (Optional but advantageous): • CompTIA A+ • Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 (or similar) • ITIL Foundation • Any security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA)
