I.Job Overview: The Operation and Store Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the mart, ensuring that all aspects of the store run smoothly. This includes staff management, inventory control, customer service, financial oversight, and maintaining high standards of store operations. The manager will be tasked with meeting sales targets, improving efficiency, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. Additionally, they will work closely with suppliers, staff, and upper management to ensure the mart's success. II.Key Responsibilities: 1. Store Operations Management: • Oversee the daily operations of the mart, ensuring the smooth execution of activities. • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency. • Ensure the store is always clean, well-organized, and stocked with products. • Manage opening and closing procedures and handle any operational issues that arise during business hours. 2. Inventory and Stock Management: • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability by coordinating with suppliers. • Oversee ordering processes, ensuring that stock levels are aligned with customer demand and sales forecasts. • Reduce wastage by managing inventory turnover and implementing stock control practices. • Ensure all products are properly labeled, priced, and displayed in accordance with company standards. 3. Customer Service Management: • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. • Train staff on customer service best practices to maintain a welcoming and helpful environment. 4. Financial Management: • Oversee the store’s financial performance, including managing budgets, tracking sales, and monitoring expenditures. • Analyze sales data to identify trends, assess performance, and create strategies to improve revenue. • Implement cost-saving measures to enhance profitability without compromising service quality. • Prepare and submit financial reports to upper management. 5. Staff Supervision and Training: • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles. • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement staff development programs. • Schedule staff shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours. • Foster a positive working environment and encourage teamwork among employees. 6. Vendor and Supplier Relations: • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. • Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing, product availability, and favorable terms. • Monitor deliveries to ensure timely and accurate restocking of inventory. • Address and resolve any issues related to vendor performance or product quality. 7. Sales and Promotions: • Work with the marketing team to implement in-store promotions and events aimed at driving sales. • Analyze customer preferences and shopping trends to plan sales and promotional activities. • Develop strategies to attract new customers while retaining existing ones. 8. Safety and Security: • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the store. • Implement security measures to prevent theft, including staff training and monitoring surveillance systems. • Regularly inspect the store for potential safety hazards and take corrective action when necessary. 9. Reporting and Compliance: • Provide regular updates on store performance, sales figures, and operational issues to upper management. • Ensure the mart adheres to all local regulations and licensing requirements in Cambodia. • Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory. III.Qualifications: 1.Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. 2.Experience: • At least 3-5 years of experience in retail management, operations, or a similar role, preferably in a large-scale mart or supermarket environment. • Proven experience in managing store operations, inventory control, and staff supervision. • Experience in budget management, vendor negotiation, and financial reporting. 3.Skills and Competencies: • Leadership and Management: Strong ability to lead and manage a diverse team, ensuring operational efficiency and high morale. • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and create a positive shopping experience. • Inventory and Financial Management: Experience in stock management, financial reporting, and cost control. • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and find solutions quickly. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers. • Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. • Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with Cambodian retail market trends and cultural preferences. 4.Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis. • Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management software. 5.Other Requirements: • Proficiency in Khmer and English is essential. • Knowledge of Cambodian regulations and laws related to retail operations. • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required by the store’s operational needs.
