About the Role
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the daily running of operations, planning, control, and coordination of all activities of personnel engaged in serving food and beverages. He/She possesses strong knowledge of food & beverage products, menu availability, and effective up-selling techniques. The Restaurant Manager leads the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. He/She strives to continually improve both guest and employee satisfaction, foster a positive work environment, and maximize the financial performance within their area of responsibility. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager collaborates closely with kitchen and service teams to maintain smooth communication and timely service delivery
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Supervision & Training
-Oversee dining area operations and supervise food & beverage service staff to ensure compliance with company policies.
-Ensure staff adhere to service standards, grooming, and hygiene requirements.
-Lead by example through demonstration of best practices.
-Train, develop, and guide staff to achieve optimal performance.
-Collaborate with HR in screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
Foster a positive and motivating team environment.
2. Customer Service Excellence
-Supervise food presentation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
-Inspect the quality of fresh food and baked goods deliveries.
-Maintain strict health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
3. Store Operations & Inventory Management
-Manage overall store operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
-Oversee staffing levels in kitchen, counter, and dining areas.
-Monitor daily food and beverage inventory; manage ordering and stock control.
-Conduct regular stock counts and spot checks.
-Ensure adherence to security procedures throughout the store.
4. Customer Service & Experience
-Address and resolve guest complaints regarding food quality, service, and cleanliness promptly and professionally.
-Deliver memorable guest experiences and build strong customer relationships.
5. Sales & Marketing Support
-Assist in preparing and implementing in-store promotional activities in coordination with the Marketing team to meet sales targets.
-Support planning of regular and special event menus.
6. Financial & Administrative Duties
-Maintain staff performance reports and track operating costs.
-Manage daily receipts, balance sales, and secure the store at closing.
-Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Brand Managers.
7. Work Schedule
-Be prepared to work long hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Degree or Diploma in Food & Beverage or related field.
-Minimum 1 year of proven experience managing a team in a similar role.
-Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
-Ability to work effectively under pressure.
-Self-motivated with a positive, professional management style.
