• Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of school supplies and educational materials. • Material Availability: Ensure timely distribution and availability of materials to meet the needs of students, teachers, and staff. • Stockroom Organization: Plan and maintain an organized stockroom, considering turnover, size, and weight of items. • Training and Supervision: Provide on-the-job training and supervise daily activities of stock associates. • Record Keeping: Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures. • Problem Solving: Identify and recommend actions for nonusable, slow-moving, and excess stock. • Special Inventories: Schedule and conduct special and periodic inventories. • Employee Support: Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped. • Discrepancy Resolution: Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records and recommend remedial actions.
