Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Services & Relations:
* Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
* Bid farewell to departing guests, process check-outs, and assist with luggage or transportation arrangements.
* Answer guest inquiries promptly and accurately, both in person and over the phone, regarding hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and directions.
* Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Provide concierge-like services, including booking tours, taxis, restaurant reservations, and offering local recommendations.
* Maintain a positive and hospitable attitude towards all guests and visitors.
2. Reservation Management:
* Manage and process new reservations, modifications, and cancellations through the hotel's Property Management System (PMS).
* Understand different room types, rates, promotions, and packages to effectively upsell or cross-sell hotel services.
* Handle group bookings and special requests efficiently.
* Conduct accurate room assignments based on guest preferences and availability.
3. Front Office Operations:
* Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls on a multi-line phone system.
* Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, ensuring all necessary forms, brochures, and supplies are readily available.
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries for guests and hotel departments.
* Prepare daily reports, maintain accurate guest records, and update guest profiles.
* Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Bell Desk, Concierge) to ensure seamless guest service.
* Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
* Handle basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
4. Security & Compliance:
* Ensure the security of the front desk area, guest information, and hotel property.
* Follow proper key control procedures.
* Be knowledgeable about hotel emergency procedures and assist guests during emergencies.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field is a strong advantage.
Proven experience (1-2 years preferred) as a Hotel Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or in a similar customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer are essential. Proficiency in additional languages is plus
