Job Overview:
A Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a warehouse. Their primary duties include managing inventory, supervising warehouse staff, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods, and maintaining workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Warehouse Operations: Oversee receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods to ensure smooth workflow.
Manage Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock checks, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Team Supervision: Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity.
Ensure Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and maintain cleanliness and order.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Equipment Management: Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions.
Report & Documentation: Prepare reports on inventory, performance, and operations for management review.
Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams for smooth operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proficiency in warehouse management software (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Internet Email)
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to lift and move heavy items when necessary.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred).
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with potential exposure to temperature variations.
Requires standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting.
May involve shift work, including weekends and holidays.
