Plan Supervisor on Water Treatment

Asia Svay Rieng Water Supply Project Plan Supervisor job description Appointed as part of a new team being established in Cambodia and initially reporting as day-to-day activities to the Operations Manager. Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with 4 to 5 years post-graduation relevant experience To oversee the day-to-day operations of the water treatment facility as located adjacent to the Daun Toi Lake in the Svay Rieng Province of Cambodia. Scope to include: To oversee and manage the plant operators, who will be working in shifts 3 teams of 3 and others as may be appointed from time to time, to ensure the facility is operating efficiently and in compliance with the technical specifications and ISO standards, to ensure water output is acceptable in terms of both quantity and quality. To oversee the work being carried out by the site scientist. To prepare, report and collate, daily, weekly and monthly reports as required under ISO and as may be requested from time to time by the Operations Manager. To oversee the maintenance procedures as specified by the equipment suppliers and as agreed as regular maintenance procedures and to prepare any reports as necessary. To oversee site stock and spare parts and maintain the necessary records and to provide same as requested by the company accountants. To be available and responsible to act as necessary to accommodate any site emergency that may occur from time to time. Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, work with the Network Manager to ensure water quantity, quality and pressures are commensurate with the customer needs. Skill sets and requirements: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, or similar. • Sound knowledge of heavy machinery and controls. (Within the Water Sector preferable, but not essential) • Ability with regard to both written and verbal communication in Khmer and English. • Can use Microsoft Office, Project, Office and AutoCAD software where training will be provided. • Experience as supervisor and quality assurance for mechanical/electrical installations or similar related activity. • Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects. • Willingness to learn and develop within the ASW Organisation. Others: As the role will require be full time in Svay Rieng the successful candidate will also be required to: • Hold a current valid car driver's license. • Be willing to work in Svayrieng where accommodation on site will be provided. • To work independently when required within the parameters set by the Company.
