Job Responsibilities: • System Installation and Configuration: - Installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems, servers, and other hardware and software. - Managing user accounts and permissions. - Configuring and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. - System Monitoring and Maintenance: - Monitoring system performance and resource utilization. - Troubleshooting and resolving system issues. - Performing regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures. - Applying security patches and updates. • Network Administration: - Maintaining network infrastructure and connectivity. - Troubleshooting network problems. - Managing network security and access control. • User Support: - Providing technical support to end-users. - Assisting with software installations and troubleshooting. - Training users on system usage and best practices. • Security Management: - Implementing and enforcing security policies. - Monitoring for security threats and vulnerabilities. - Responding to security incidents. • Documentation: - Maintaining system and network documentation. - Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures.
Requirement: - Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) - Experience with networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) - Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) - Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) - Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience with database administration - Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., intrusion detection systems, firewalls) - Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator (or equivalent)
