Vimpex Limited is a Multinational Company with offices in Singapore, Myanmar, Laos, India & Cambodia. The Company has multiple business verticals & is also in the business of distribution of fast- moving Consumer Goods & Pharmaceuticals products. Job Title: : Operation Manager Position Summary: The Operations Manager for a distribution company is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain, from procurement and storage to distribution. This role involves ensuring that products are efficiently delivered to clients and customers while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, staff management, inventory control, and ensuring that all logistical operations run smoothly to meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Supply Chain & Inventory Management: o Oversee the procurement, warehousing, and distribution of products. o Ensure the efficient management of inventory to meet customer demands while minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. o Implement and maintain systems for inventory control, tracking, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. o Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain issues. • Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control: o Ensure that all products are handled and distributed in compliance with regulatory requirements, including local and international standards. o Oversee product handling, storage, and transportation to ensure quality standards are met. o Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. • Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement: o Analyze and streamline operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. o Implement process improvements to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and minimize errors. o Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to enhance overall distribution performance. • Logistics & Distribution Management: o Oversee the timely and cost-effective distribution of products to clients, ensuring product availability at the right time and place. o Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), transport vendors, and other distribution partners. o Monitor and manage delivery schedules, ensuring that all shipments meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. • Team Leadership & Staff Management: o Manage, train, and mentor the operations team, including warehouse staff, logistics personnel, and other operational staff. o Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide training to enhance team productivity. o Foster a positive, high-performance work culture, ensuring staff are motivated, engaged, and aligned with company goals. • Cost Control & Budgeting: o Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and resources are used efficiently. o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational costs, implementing strategies to reduce waste and improve cost-effectiveness. • Cash Flow & Budget Management: o Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and timely payments to HO. To ensure, following the credit policy and timely collection. o Prepare and manage the organization’s annual budget, ensuring that departments adhere to financial constraints. • Reporting & Communication: o Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, inventory status, compliance audits, and process improvements to senior management. o Communicate effectively across departments, ensuring alignment between operations, sales, customer service, and management teams. Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management in the pharmaceutical distribution sector or related industries. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. • Proficiency in inventory management systems, warehouse management software (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross- functionally and engage with external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Experience with implementing ERP systems or other software solutions for operational management. • Certification in supply chain management or logistics Personal Attributes: • Results-oriented and proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement. • Highly organized with excellent time management skills. • Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance. • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt to changing operational needs. • A collaborative and communicative leader with strong interpersonal skills.
