Responsibilities:
• Undertake front office duties, including meeting, greeting, welcoming, and attending to both internal and external guests, ensuring their safety and experience.
• Be familiar with all hotel facilities, room rates, categories, availability, promotions, and outlet operation hours.
• Check in guests, check them out, answer phones, and administer all routes of reservation to ensure room bookings are made and recorded accurately.
• Keep up to date with room rates, availability, and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.
• Ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently to avoid no-shows.
• Build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints quickly to maintain high-quality service.
• Deal with customer complaints or requests in an effective and courteous manner, providing extra assistance and seeking solutions as quickly as possible to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.
• Be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts.
• Administer the general petty cash system and float in an accurate manner.
• Assist in keeping the front desk and lobby area clean and tidy.
• Report any maintenance, breakage, unsafe, or cleanliness problems to the Night/relevant manager.
• Audit and reconcile financial statement accounts such as receivables and revenues.
• Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts.
• Process invoices, prepare checkout bills, and prepare arrival vouchers.
• Prepare daily collection reports, daily movement reports, daily incident reports, and arrival and departure reports.
• Assist with other outlet duties (bar, spa, room service) when relevant or required.
• Attend all training sessions requested by management (first aid, health, safety, etc.).
• Adhere to all fire safety procedures and assist in the evacuation process in the event of a fire.
• Ensure safety by following guest check-in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, management, or the Manager on Duty (MOD).
Requirements:
• High school education or above, or an associate degree in hospitality
• 0-2 years' experience in a similar role is accepted.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
• Good computer skills, with knowledge of booking systems, both in-house and online.
• Hands-on experience of taking credit/debit card payments over the phone and in-person.
• Ability to work effectively and contribute to a team.
• Self-motivated and energetic.
• Must be well-presented and professionally groomed
