Job Title: Ocean & Sea Freight Operator
Department: Logistics / Freight Operations
Reports To: Freight Operations Manager / Logistics Supervisor

✨Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of ocean freight operations (FCL, LCL) for both imports and exports.
- Manage booking arrangements with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics providers.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively address delays or issues.
- Liaise with internal departments, overseas agents, and customers to ensure smooth communication and operation flow.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and company policies.
- Handle freight costing, rate negotiations, and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
- Update and maintain accurate shipment data in logistics systems or freight management software.
- Resolve discrepancies, claims, or disputes related to ocean shipments.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to optimize service levels and cost efficiency.
✅ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in ocean freight operations or international logistics.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, Incoterms, customs clearance, and international shipping processes.
⚜️Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP TM, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
