Quantity Surveyor

Job Description: As a Quantity Surveyor in our Construction Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of our projects. You will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, and budget control for commercial, residential, and industrial park developments. Your expertise will support project management, tendering, and cost-effective construction execution. This job is required to go to site.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Cost Management: o Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports. o Monitor construction costs and implement cost-saving measures. 2. Tendering & Contract Administration: o Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and schedules. o Sourcing supplier or sub-contractor o Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate contracts. o Manage contract variations, claims, and final accounts. o Keep a good book record of all construction documents including Instructions, Drawings, Contracts and Payment Applications. 3. Budget Preparation for New Projects: o Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost advice for new developments. o Work closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to optimize project costs. 4. Construction Project Oversight: o Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking. o Ensure compliance with contractual and financial regulations. o Conduct site visits to assess work progress and variations. o Check the quantity of structure work o Check the quantity finishing work o Check the material specification o Site inspection before handover to client o Ensure the quality followed the specification that drawing mention. 5. Risk & Value Management: o Identify potential cost risks and propose mitigation strategies. o Perform value engineering to maximize cost efficiency. 6. Other jobs assigned by Project Manager.
Job Requirements: • Education & Certification: o Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. • Experience: o Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in property development or construction. o Experience in budgeting, cost estimation, and tendering. • Skills & Competencies: o Strong analytical and numerical skills. o Knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, etc.). o Proficiency in cost estimation software, CAD and Microsoft Office. o Good negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. o A clear understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines. o Solid knowledge of construction and projects materials o Good Documentation Skills. • Other Requirements: o Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards. o Willing to conduct site visits and liaise with contractors and consultants. o Chinese and English are required.
